
Media Arts Students took a break from digital art and painted. They chose a song, colors to represent that song, and then listened to the beat and lyrics to paint a representation of that song. The whole class did a great job and enjoyed the activity. These are the students who wanted to share their work.





Today a few staff members from OSHS and OSMS attended the STEM Expo in Sevierville to enhance their STEM knowledge and network with area businesses to provide educational opportunities for our students. Mr. Branham, vice principal of OSHS and OSMS, and Ms. Wright, principal of OSMS, presented at one of the sessions as well!




This past weekend the Science Bowl team (Tristan, Nicole, Gracie, Walker, and Jonah) got to participate in the Tennessee Science Bowl at Pellissippi State in Blount County. They played 7 rounds and had a lot of fun! They even got to tour and participate in the Nursing Simulation Lab. They attended a Science Bowl Banquet and were able to listen to several different scientists. Congratulations to these students!





TONIGHT is the first round of region play with the Bobcats hosting Greenback. OSHS and OSMS students need to enter the building at the back gate as the first 100 students have their admission covered by our donors. Gates open at 6:00pm. We are asking all fans to wear PURPLE to support our team. GO BOBCATS!


OSHS would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Oliver Springs Community! Because of YOU, we have 100 student tickets for tomorrow night's Region Tournament game. Thank you for supporting our students and our athletes! GO BOBCATS!


This Saturday night Oliver Springs High School will be hosting a Round 1 Region Tournament Game. We are looking for generous community members who would like to cover admissions for students to the region game in order to increase school spirit. Under TSSAA rules, no one is allowed in for free to TSSAA sanctioned tournament games. Therefore, we would like donors to call the front office and donate money to cover the costs for student admissions so all students can attend the game. The game is Saturday, February 25, at 7:00pm. Gates will open at 6:00pm.

TONIGHT is the District Championship game against Oneida at Oneida! Tip off is at 8:00pm. Cheer on the Cats to a District Championship victory for the second year in a row!


Reminder: There is NO school on Monday, February 20, 2023, in observance of President's Day. We will see students back on Tuesday, February 21!

TONIGHT is the District Semi-Final Game against Coalfield @ Oneida @ 8:00pm. Cheer the Cats onto a victory to advance to the District Championship Game! The student section theme is BLACK OUT! GO CATS!


2023 Calendars are still on sale in the front office! All proceeds support the OSHS Volleyball team. There are only a few left so get yours today!


IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Per TSSAA guidelines, the only passes accepted at ticket gates for TSSAA and TMSAA tournament games are TSSAA passes and TACA passes. Therefore, admission is expected to be paid.

Due to increased staff sickness, Roane County Schools (TN) will be closed on Monday, February 13, 2023. Ball games will still be played; players should receive information from coaches about who can and cannot practice.

Congratulations to our student athletes for their 2022-2023 All District Teams for basketball! Cheer them on TONIGHT at Oneida!




Candy Grams go on sale TOMORROW (Friday, February 10)! Be sure to purchase a special treat and send a message to someone special. See an OSHS Cheerleader to purchase one for $2. They are on sale through Tuesday, February 14 and will be delivered on the 14th as well.


What a great Senior Night for the Class of 2023! The student section was on fire! The girls played a great game against Coalfield and then the boys basketball team defeated Coalfield to top off a great night of basketball and the last home game of regular season play! Congratulations to our senior athletes! Watch the Bobcats one last time in their last regular season game at Oneida this Friday night.


Tonight is the last home game of the year! We will be honoring our 2023 Seniors in-between the girls and boys game. All OS Students (DSES, OSMS and OSHS) will get in for free! Free pizza will also be available in the student section! Come out tonight and honor our seniors and watch some great basketball as the Bobcats take on the Yellow Jackets!

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you have not completed your FAFSA or if you have FAFSA questions, then next Monday, February 6th will be another FAFSA night from 3:30-6pm in Coach Rather's computer lab (rm. 125). It is highly recommended that you attend. Students will need parent information or (preferably) a parent there to help complete the FAFSA. You must have at least one parent's information and parent FSA ID to complete the FAFSA.
