Hi there! It is nice to "meet" you. My name is Bailey Mays and I am the school counselor at Midway Middle School. I have a B.S. in psychology and an M.S. in school counseling. Outside of the regular school day I go to trainings, workshops, conferences, in-service meetings and classes. I also read professional journals and work together with other counselors in professional organizations. Most importantly, I love being a school counselor at Midway!

My job as a school counselor is to help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development ensuring that Midway's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow. I work with students and their families in individual counseling, group counseling and classroom guidance activities. My approach to counseling is a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt, solution focused and Impact Therapy. I look forward to hearing from you!
